Bignor Roman Villa

This incredibly well-preserved roman villa was found in 1811 when a local farmer was ploughing with his oxen. Eventually uncovered were mosaics, a formal dining room with its extraordinary underground heating system, and an outside cold plunge, known as a frigidarium.
